Tremblay Valley

A connection between the inhabitant and the natural realm.
To live and to breathe should encompass a sense of belonging -
Knowing where you are and why you associate.
To reach both into nature and to the industrial of everyday life,
One can build the balance towards healthy living
Tremblay Valley integrates these characteristics throughout the site in both the micro and macro scale. From the Ecological Center in the high-rise to the Private Sanctuary’s found within the mid-rise, the occupants well being and comfort is always serviced.
The connection to the site’s context is never forgotten. Accordingly, key design decisions were made to both compliment and communicate with the adjacent Via Rail Station.
The site exudes the gesture of carving, creating a private valley strictly reserved for pedestrians. This opportunity is further maximized by creating a commercial main street that provides amenities as well as a direct route from the station to nearby residential neighborhoods.

At the centre of the valley is a reflective pool that represents the physical manifestation of the connection and collaboration of the community.
- This project was done in collaboration with Sarah Pitoscia who designed the midrise structure on the shared site.
